KHL:n sensaatioseura Avtomobilist Jekaterinburgin kärkihyökkääjä Anatoli Golyshevin huhuttiin viime viikolla harkitsevan NHL-sopimuksen tekemistä New York Islandersin kanssa.

Islandersin kesän 2016 varaustilaisuuden neljännen kierroksen (95.) valinta tuli nyt kuitenkin täysin toisiin aatoksiin NHL-siirron suhteen.

– En aio mennä NHL:ään nyt tai ensi kaudella. Neuvottelemme parhaillaan Avtomobilistin kanssa jatkosopimuksesta. Sopimus ei ole vielä valmis, mutta meillä on varmasti pian jotain uutisia siihen liittyen, Goloshev sanoi Sport-Expressin haastattelussa.

– Minulla on perhe, saimme juuri toisen lapsen, joten nyt vain parempi jäädä KHL:ään. Pudotuspelitappiomme jälkeen halusin vain levätä pari päivää ja nyt vain harjoittelen, jotta olen valmis Venäjän maajoukkueen mukaan, sillä sain sieltä puhelun, 24-vuotias hyökkääjätaituri jatkoi.
