Lähde: Vancouver Canucks teki jymykaappauksen NHL:ssä!

Vancouver Canucks on tehnyt nimekkään kaappauksen toimistopuolelle.

TSN:n sisäpiiritoimittaja Darren Dreger raportoi torstaina Twitterissä, että Canucks on solminut sopimuksen legendaarisen seurapomon Jim Rutherfordin kanssa.

TSN:n mukaan Rutherford ottaa Canucksissa seurapresidentin ja väliaikaisen GM:n roolin. Canucks jatkaa seuraavan GM:n etsimistä Rutherfordin johdolla.

72-vuotias Rutherford on tehnyt NHL:ssä menestyksekkään uran Hartford Whalersin, Carolina Hurricanesin sekä Pittsburgh Penguinsin seurapomoina. Hall of Fameen vuonna 2019 valittu Rutherford on voittanut Stanley Cupin kolmesti.

Rutherford irtisanoutui tammikuussa 2021 Penguinsin GM:n roolista.

Just quickly chatted with Canucks owner Francesco Aquilini, as he ran into the BOG meeting. He confirmed @DarrenDreger ‘s report that Jim Rutherford has been hired as president and interim GM. He gave it a big thumbs up.
