St. Louis Blues tiedotti sunnuntaina lähettäneensä NHL-leiriryhmästään 12 pelaajaa farmin puolelle.

Tiedotteesta nousi Blues-fanien keskuudessa melkoinen haloo, sillä tältä 12 pelaajan listalta löytyi seuran kirkkain tulevaisuuden timantti Klim Kostin.

20-vuotias Kostin on ollut harjoituskaudella Bluesin parhaimpia hyökkääjiä. Vuoden 2017 ensimmäisen kierroksen 31. varaus takoi kuudessa ottelussaan komeat tehopisteet 3+3.

Kostinin kohtaloksi koitui tässä kohtaa se, että hän oli ainoita NHL-kaliiberin pelaajia, jonka Blues pystyi lähettämään AHL:ään ilman siirtolistalle joutumista.

Why did they send Kostin down? He had one of the best camps out of everyone, yet Sanford still has a spot and has been sup par and non existent. In fact, he looked lost in several pre season games

Bummed Kostin didn’t make the roster, but I’m sure we’ll see him at some point this year.
