TSN:n toimittaja Darren Dreger varmisti aikaisemmin sunnuntaina, että Ottawa Senators on aikeissa kaupata hyökkääjä Matt Duchenen pois ennen helmikuun 25. päivä olevaa siirtorajaa.

TSN:n toinen sisäpiiritoimittaja Pierre LeBrun tarjosi myöhemmin lisätietona, että ainakin Nashville Predators sekä suomalais-GM Jarmo Kekäläisen johtama Columbus Blue Jackets on ollu yhteydessä Senatorsiin Ducheneen liittyen.

The Fourth Period -sivuston päätoimittaja David Pagnotta lisäsi, että New York Islanders on myös erittäin kiinnostunut kanadalaistähden palveluksista. Senators ja Islanders ovat käyneet jo keskenään kauppaneuvotteluja.

Not surpringsly, word is that several teams from both conferences have shown interest with Ottawa on Duchene. Believe that Columbus and Nashville are among the many teams which have checked in with the Senators on him

Unless there’s last minute change, the Ottawa Senators plan on trading Matt Duchene. Mark Stone’s future in Ottawa should also be determined early this week, well in advance of the trade deadline.

The NY Islanders are one of the several teams very interested in Ottawa’s Duchene, and have spoken with the Sens about a potential deal.
